Our client based in New Milton are looking for a Packing Operations Manager to lead a high-performing packing team in a fast-moving manufacturing environment. You will co-ordinate and lead a team of Packing Technicians, Assistant Team Leaders and Team Leaders across multiple departments, with the key focus of driving operational excellence.

Your responsibilities will include:
β’ Lead, mentor and develop packing teams to achieve short-term and long-term objectives. Building a positive work environment that promotes engagement, skills development and high performance.
β’ Work closely with HR to develop and deliver people strategies to align with business needs.
β’ Support people processes, such as performance and absence management, training and engagement initiatives.
β’ Oversee day to day operations across the packing department.
β’ Set and monitor performance targets, ensuring delivery on time in full, within budget and to strict quality standards.
β’ Lead strategic improvement projects to maximise efficiency and reduce waste.
β’ Implement Lean principles and champion best practices to maintain market leadership.
β’ Oversee preventative maintenance of packing equipment and manage renewal of non-serviceable machinery.
Applicants will have at least 3 yearsβ experience in a mid to senior level operations role and will be able to demonstrate a background in leading continuous improvement / lean manufacturing initiatives. You will be people focused with excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and develop a large team.
