All persons with barriers to employment in Greater Sudbury are provided with the support and skills they need to access the labour force and to secure meaningful employment. Notre vision

Northern Vocational Services is a community organization that changes the lives of people who have difficulty finding employment because of their limitations. At NVS, we know that everyone has significant potential and we provide services that enhance personal abilities. We do so by:
- offering client-centered approaches through individual employment counselling and coaching
- identifying solutions to overcome employment barriers and utilizing the person’s strengths to find suitable employment
- improving skills with exercises to increase employment opportunities
- advocating and networking throughout Greater Sudbury about the significant benefits of employing persons with disabilities

The 5th annual Level Up! Skilled Trades Career Fairs are back for Fall 2026!
Level Up! is a series of dynamic, multi-day career fairs that bring together the best in skilled trades professionals across industry organizations, post-secondary institutions, businesses, associations and more. Students in grades 7 to 12 can learn about Ontario’s 140+ skilled trades through interactive exhibitions and hands-on activities, while hearing directly from tradespeople and local employers about life-changing career opportunities.
