You have done all the work. Invested in the needed training , education , gotten the work experience, developed new skills and competencies. You had a professional looking resume put together, applied for the job or promotion , and you have made the first cut.... they called you to attend an interview.. NOW WHAT ????
Is this your first big interview?
Or maybe you its been YEARS since you had to do an interview?
Does the idea of trying to "sell yourself" feel uncomfortable and unnatural?
Do you hate public speaking and the thought of an interview makes you very nervous?
Are you unsure how to prove "you have what it takes to do the job"?
Have you suffered through other unsuccessful interviews in the past, and just don't know why you failed to get the job?
Let me help......
Phase 1-
Your interview is NOT the time to practice. You need to be ready to show/demonstrate/explain WHY you should be the candidate of choice. This means doing some effective preparation work.
Complete a pre-screening survey with the Interview Coach to figure out what the interviewer will be looking for and how you can match their needs
Use the interview preparation material to organize your thoughts and ideas for interview responses
Complete work sheets to formulate effective answers that demonstrate your skills and abilities and help you earn the points you need
Phase 2-
You need to practice (not just in front of the mirror) or by writing out potential answers.
The next step to effective interview practice is to do a MOCK INTERVIEW with a real interviewer who can score your answers and provide immediate feedback
Complete live mock interview(s) with a Coach either in person or via SKYPE.
Learn to fine tune your interview responses to best convey your suitability for the position
Receive immediate feedback and guidance on your responses
Get help with nervous habits, and personal body language that may deter you from making a great impression
Learn how to focus on the questions being asked, and how to make your answers specific to the job you are applying for
Phase 3-
Debrief with your Coach after the interview is complete. Learn how to follow up with the employer, and use your experience to enhance your future career opportunities.
