Keep coins, buttons, small toy parts and other tiny objects out of child's reach. Check toys for loose or broken parts, and keep the play area tidy.

Helpers should always stay alert and check your surroundings to help keep the child safe.

Falls can happen at home, sometimes because of small things we overlook.

As a helper, keeping walkways clear, cleaning up spills and making sure the elderly have a safe path to walk can help reduce the risk of falls. If you notice anything that could be unsafe, let your employer know so it can be addressed.

Always stay alert and be mindful of the little things that could cause a fall. 🚨

Financial problems can be stressful, and sometimes your helper may not know who to turn to.

As an employer, if you notice something seems off, take a moment to check in with her. Listen without judging and try to understand her situation before making assumptions.

You may not be able to solve everything for her, but you can help her feel more comfortable asking for support when she needs it.👍

When a child has a tantrum, it can be difficult to know what to do, especially when emotions are running high.

Stay calm, keep the child safe and give them some space to settle down. Once they’re calm, help them return to their normal routine.

If you’re unsure how to handle a situation, don’t be afraid to check with the employer.👍

Instead of getting frustrated, take some time to explain what went wrong and how you’d like it done. Give her a chance to learn, ask questions and improve along the way.👍
