🚛 The Role
Starting each day from the John Lewis Customer Delivery Hub in Handforth, you'll work as part of a two-person crew alongside an experienced driver.

Your responsibilities will include:
✅ Delivering a first-class customer experience on behalf of John Lewis & Partners
✅ Assisting with loading and preparing the vehicle for the day's deliveries
✅ Helping plan the most efficient delivery routes using John Lewis delivery systems
✅ Contacting customers with estimated arrival times and delivery updates
✅ Carefully delivering furniture, electrical goods and home products into customers' properties
✅ Assisting with product installation and setup where required
✅ Taking pride in customers' homes by treating every property with respect and care
✅ Solving delivery challenges professionally to ensure complete customer satisfaction

Essential:

Job Summary
We are currently looking for reliable and hardworking Van Drivers / Event Support Operatives to join a busy and growing team based in the Stockport area.
You must be flexible regards your start and finish time to apply.
This is a varied role that combines driving, warehouse duties, and on-site installation work. You'll be responsible for delivering equipment to locations across the UK, assisting with loading and unloading vehicles, and carrying out basic assembly tasks at customer sites.
Working alongside a Driver's Mate, you will represent the business professionally while ensuring all deliveries and installations are completed safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
- Driving a Luton van or large Transit van to locations throughout the UK
- Picking, packing, and loading stock onto vehicles
- Completing vehicle checks and ensuring safe transportation of goods
- Unloading deliveries and carrying out basic assembly and installation work on-site
- Working safely from step ladders where required
- Maintaining high standards of customer service and professionalism
- Ensuring all tasks are completed within agreed timeframes
- Working closely with your Driver's Mate to deliver successful installations

Requirements
