But it belongs to a lot more people than us.

The parents who welcomed us into their homes during the most tender weeks of their lives. The maternity nurses and night nannies who show up at 9pm and leave at 7am having given a family their first full night's sleep. The friends who backed Harmony at Home Maternity Agency from day one.

The DBS Your Maternity Nurse Emailed You? It’s Just a Photo.
An Emailed DBS Proves Nothing - Is That DBS Even Hers? - Stop Accepting Emailed DBS Certificates

Has a maternity nurse ever emailed you her DBS certificate? 📄
That PDF, photo or scan can look completely legitimate and still prove nothing. It doesn’t prove the certificate belongs to the person in your kitchen. It doesn’t prove it hasn’t been altered. It proves nothing until it’s been properly verified.
When someone is coming into your home to care for your newborn, a photo of a DBS isn’t a safeguarding check. It’s just a photo.
At Harmony at Home Maternity, every maternity practitioner we introduce has been through our checks before her CV ever reaches you:
✅ Original Enhanced DBS for the child workforce, seen in person, never a digital copy
✅ Identity verified through a government-certified Identity Service Provider
✅ Interviewed in person and references independently checked
That means that from the very first CV, you’re only choosing between people who have already been properly checked. We’re discreet and thorough, and we’re used to the standards of private households across the UK and overseas.
