⬇️ Important update for superyacht crew ⬇️

The STCW changes covering violence and harassment at sea have been in force since the 1st of January 2026, but the MCA has recently published and updated MGN 718 on the 3rd of September 2026, setting out clearer requirements for affected seafarers.

For crew, the practical point is this: as part of your PSSR, you may now need to complete additional training covering bullying, harassment, sexual assault, and how to recognise, prevent and respond to inappropriate behaviour onboard.

Under the current MCA guidance, affected seafarers must complete the required training by 31 March 2027, unless they already meet the accepted training requirements set out in MGN 718.

Vessel Details:

・A 47m private and charter motor yacht is urgently seeking a Temporary Third Stewardess to join the vessel tomorrow in Italy!
・The yacht operates a Mediterranean-based programme and is currently on its final charter of the season, so the successful candidate will be joining directly into a busy guest period.
・The initial contract will be for a minimum of one week, with the possibility of being extended through until the end of October.

Position Overview:

・This is primarily a laundry and housekeeping-focused position, supporting the existing interior team throughout the current charter.
・The successful candidate will need to be comfortable stepping straight into the programme with minimal settling-in time and working efficiently within an established interior team.
・Strong attention to detail, a good work ethic and the ability to remain organised throughout a busy charter environment will be important.

Requirements:

・Candidates must have previous yacht experience with a good working knowledge of laundry and housekeeping.
・You must be available to join tomorrow in Italy, and you must hold a valid Schengen visa/European passport in hand.
・The initial contract is for a minimum of one week, with the potential to continue until the end of October.
・Salary/day rate will be discussed directly with the Captain.
・Start date: Tomorrow in Italy!
