Satori Homes is a Therapeutic Foster Care Agency that provides specialized foster placements for chi

We assist children and youth in need of care that is safe, supportive, and engaging. Our foster homes are Trauma-Informed, focus on the benefits of building healthy and trusting relationships as a primary therapeutic approach and work from a strengths-based model, utilizing wrap-around services for both the children and youth we work with and the people that care for them. We strive to maintain a family feel, while still providing the extensive supports and services often required by the children, youth, and families we work with. We work hard as a team to foster lifelong relationships with caring adults that enable and empower children and young people to rebuild their lives. We recruit dynamic, creative and compassionate individuals that are willing to share their home, their skills, and their patience, and their sense of humour with us and the young people in our care. We are always looking for professional minded people that are willing to join our team as Foster Care Providers. It is challenging, involved and ever-changing, but it is rewarding, rejuvenating and inspiring. As commonly stated in foster care sites across the globe “It is the hardest job you will ever love.”

Every child and youth has their own story. Small, thoughtful moments of care can help them feel noticed, welcomed and valued, while making room for their traditions and the connections that matter to them.

To our foster care providers: thank you for the everyday details you pay attention to. What feels like a simple gesture to you may become a meaningful memory for a child.

For children and youth in foster care, emotional well-being is supported through the everyday moments: being heard, feeling safe, knowing what to expect and having someone who continues to show up.

Today, on the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, we honour the children who never returned home, the Survivors of residential schools, and their families and communities.

We recognize the importance of listening to Indigenous voices, learning the truth about Canada’s residential school system and reflecting on the work that reconciliation requires from all of us—not only today, but throughout the year.

Every child matters.
