Farm & Food Care Ontario

Farm & Food Care Ontario Farm & Food Care Ontario is growing public trust and consumer confidence in farming and food by working collaboratively with Ontario farmers and food partners.

July 2021 update: We have just learned that someone is falsely representing themselves as a FFCO agent & recruiting foreign workers to come to Canada at great personal cost. This is a scam. FFCO does NOT facilitate immigration to Canada or arrange contracts for Temporary Foreign Workers. Farm & Food Care is a coalition of farmers and associated businesses proactively working together with a commit

ment to provide credible information and strengthen sustainable food and farming for the future. We encourage you to interact on our page, however since we unfortunately cannot monitor every conversation, Farm & Food Care expects that users will not post content that falls into the following categories and reserves the right to remove postings that are:

๐Ÿ„ Here's a fungi fact for your feed.

What do mushrooms and tomatoes have in common?

They can both be grown in highly controlled environments that help farmers produce food year-round.

Did you know? Ontario is Canada's largest mushroom-producing province.

The Egg Quality Assurance (EQAยฎ) certification mark lets you know the eggs you are buying meet strict national standards for animal care and on-farm food safety.

Look for the EQAยฎ mark to easily identify these eggs, produced on local Canadian farms.

Local Food Week may be ending, but local food never stops.

To all the farmers of Ontario, whether you raise beef, veal, pork, chicken, turkey, dairy, eggs, sheep, or goats, or grow fruit, vegetables, grains, mushrooms, or anything else, thank you for keeping our farms thriving and our plates full.

While Local Food Week gives us a chance to celebrate Ontario food, we know the work continues long after the week is over. Farmers across the province are caring for animals, growing crops, and producing the food our communities rely on every day of the year.

Local Food Week may be ending, but our appreciation doesn't.
