Say hello to Seth Wall! ⚡

Seth is part of the Prelude to the Future #7 Program, where he’s working towards his Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician and Certificate II in Split Airconditioning and Heat Pump Systems, while also gaining valuable industry tickets along the way.

Seth applied for the program because he knew GTNT Group had a strong reputation for helping apprentices build a good future. Becoming an electrician was always something he wanted to do, and he’s keen to give it his best and learn every aspect of the trade.

So far, Seth has enjoyed the opportunities to learn new skills and build friendships with others in the program.

His time with Nilsen NT has also been a highlight, giving him the chance to experience a variety of work across Darwin. One memorable experience was visiting the airport and assisting with tower wiring, giving him valuable exposure to the industry.

Outside of his apprenticeship, Seth plays rugby for the Northern Sharks Rugby League Club, enjoys basketball and loves spending time with family. 🏉🦈

We look forward to following your journey as you continues to build his skills. All the best, Seth! ✨

Congratulations to Sandon Bott, who recently completed his Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology with Bridge Toyota Darwin & Palmerston! 🔧

For Sandon, becoming a mechanic was a natural fit. Always hands-on and passionate about engines, he wanted to get stuck into real work, develop practical skills and see the results of his efforts. Outside work, his love of dirt bikes, 4WD trips and all things mechanical keeps that passion going.

Over the past four years, Sandon has grown from learning the basics to confidently diagnosing and repairing problems independently. Along the way, he has taken pride in every job, big or small, and celebrated the milestones that have helped shape him into the mechanic he is today.

His hard work has certainly paid off, winning Bridge Toyota’s internal Apprentice of the Year award in both 2023 and 2025. He has also earned recognition at the GTNT Group Awards, including a 2024 Outstanding Apprentice of the Year Stage 1 Runner-Up, and finalist positions in Stages 2 and 3 in 2025 and 2026. Sandon was also recognised with a 2026 Hot100 Darwin Rising Star Commendation. ✨

“𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗺𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝗺𝘆𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳. 𝗜 𝗸𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝘄𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗽𝗮𝘆 𝗼𝗳𝗳 𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿, 𝗴𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗲 𝗮 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲, 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀 𝗜 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗼𝗻. 𝗠𝘆 𝗮𝗱𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗯𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗱𝗼 𝗶𝘁.”

With his apprenticeship now complete, Sandon is looking ahead to becoming a qualified diagnostic technician. Winning Bridge Toyota’s 2026 Overall Apprentice of the Year Award has also opened the door to exclusive training down south, an opportunity he is eager to make the most of. 🙌

Congratulations, Sandon! Your commitment to learning, personal growth and building a future through your trade is something to be proud of. We wish you all the best for what comes next! 😎💪

Say hello to James Clark! ⚡

James is part of the Prelude to the Future #7 Program, where he is working towards his Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician and Certificate II in Split Airconditioning and Heat Pump Systems, while also gaining a range of industry tickets.

James has always wanted to become an electrician, and the opportunity to gain hands-on experience through a variety of placements made the program a great fit.

Having previously worked with 12V systems and communication cabling, James already knew he enjoyed troubleshooting and figuring out why things weren’t working as they should. Now, he’s building on those skills and learning more about the electrical industry.

He’s enjoyed both of his placements so far, with Territory Generation being a particular highlight. Getting to see everything that goes into power production gave him a new appreciation for what happens behind the scenes to keep the power on.

😎 And when he’s not busy learning his trade? James has four kids who keep him on his toes! Being a family man keeps his spare time pretty full.

We’re looking forward to seeing James continue to grow his skills and work towards becoming a qualified electrician! 🙌
