With winter upon us, staying safe on construction sites is essential. Here are some tips to help you stay warm and avoid common winter hazards:

Dress in layers: wear insulated clothing to stay warm, but make sure you can move freely and your clothes are not caught in machinery.

Stay dry: wet clothing can increase the risk of hypothermia and frostbite, so make sure to stay dry and change clothes if necessary.

Use proper lighting: shorter daylight hours mean more time working in the dark, so use appropriate lighting to prevent accidents.

Be aware of slip and trip hazards: snow, ice, and wet surfaces can increase the risk of slips and trips, so wear slip-resistant footwear and clear walkways regularly.

Take regular breaks: working in the cold can be physically demanding, so take frequent breaks to warm up and rest.

Safety should always be a top priority on construction sites, regardless of the season. Stay warm, stay dry, and stay safe this winter.
