If you’re a Practice Manager who has ever thought “I’d run this so differently,” this one is for you.

I’m partnering with Her Health in North Adelaide to appoint their new Practice Manager.

Her Health is a multidisciplinary women’s health clinic. Obstetrics, gynaecology, general practice and allied health work side by side, so patients receive joined-up care in one place.

The role is newly created.

That means you’ll have a genuine say in how the practice runs. The systems, the processes and the team.

You’ll report to the Practice & Operations Director and lead the administration team, the PA team and the Midwife Team Leader.

Day to day, that looks like operations, rostering and workforce planning, developing and managing the performance of your team, looking after the patient experience, overseeing billing and Medicare claiming, and keeping policies and compliance current.

The person I’m looking for has 3 to 5 years managing a medical practice, ideally specialist, with strong billing knowledge and experience leading a team through change.

Just as importantly, they lead with kindness, hold clear standards and are happy to roll up their sleeves.

Do you know a great SMSF Administrator? I'm recruiting for one right now.

Ch*****ne Recruitment has partnered with Brentnalls SA to find someone for their team in Hindmarsh.

This one is all SMSF.

You'll have your own portfolio of funds and look after everything from setting up new funds and trustee companies through to audits, annual returns, rollovers, pensions and ATO correspondence. Jobs run through BGL360.

You'll report to the SMSF Principal and SMSF Manager, so you'll have experienced SMSF people to work alongside.

What I'm looking for:
* Previous SMSF admin experience
* A good handle on compliance
* Someone organised who takes pride in getting the detail right
* It's permanent full-time, $90,500 + super, and the office is close to the city.

Four years ago, I heard the words "you have breast cancer."

Last Thursday, I stood in a room full of people who showed up to help make sure fewer women hear those words, and that those who do have better outcomes than ever before.

The Longest Table at Prohibition Liquor Co was one of those days I'll carry with me for a long time. Standing alongside Ali Clarke, sharing a little of my story, and looking out at a room full of generous, kind people who came together for one reason: to raise money for breast cancer research through The Hospital Research Foundation Group.

One in 7 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. Research is the reason so many of us are still here to tell our stories. To be able to give back to that, four years on, is something I don't take for granted for a second.

My heartfelt thanks to:

I'm recruiting an Office & HR Administrator for the SCC Group, and it's a role I think will really suit someone who wants to build their HR experience.

SCC operates Southern Cross Cleaning and Southern Cross Facilities Services. This position is based at their Head Office in Richmond. It's full-time, Monday to Friday, and reports to the HR & Operations Generalist.

What I like about this role is the mix. You'll look after reception and the day-to-day running of the office. Alongside that, you'll get real hands-on HR work: preparing employment contracts, coordinating onboarding, posting job ads, scheduling interviews and keeping compliance records up to date.

To be upfront, reception and office upkeep are a genuine part of the job, so if you're looking for a pure HR role, this isn't it. But if you're an organised administrator who takes pride in keeping things running smoothly, I'd love to hear from you.

You'd sit right at the heart of the school's leadership team, the calm, trusted presence behind a busy Principal's Office, supporting the Principal, the Deputy

Job ads have a secret language.

Here's the translation nobody asked for but everyone needs.

"Fast-paced environment" usually means nobody's had time to write a proper process document since 2019.

"Wear many hats" often means one person is doing the job of three, and you're hat number four.

"Competitive salary" sometimes means competitive with what they paid five years ago.

"Must be a self-starter" can mean there's no onboarding plan, so good luck.

"Family feel" is lovely, right up until it means unpaid overtime is just how we do things here.

I'm not saying every business does this. Most don't mean to. But candidates read between these lines every single day, and the good ones are getting better at it.

The businesses that win the best talent right now are the ones brave enough to write what's actually true. Long hours sometimes, but flexibility when it counts. Salary that's fair, not flashy, with real progression. A process that's a bit informal because you're small, not because you're disorganised.

Honesty in the ad is the first test a candidate gives you. Pass it, and you've already started building trust before the interview.
