Filipino helper going home on Home Leave.
If the Filipino helper is returning to the Philippines temporarily and will return to the same Singapore employer, she is generally treated as a Balik-Manggagawa (returning OFW). The Philippine departure requirements distinguish returning workers from first-time OFWs.
Before leaving Singapore
The helper should make sure she has:
1. Valid Philippine passport
2. Valid Singapore Work Permit
3. Valid employment/contract record with the current employer
4. OEC / OFW Travel Pass or OEC exemption, as applicable
5. Return flight ticket to Singapore
✈️ What happens when she goes back to Singapore?
This is the important part.
If she has an OEC exemption, she should secure the appropriate OFW travel documentation/clearance before departing the Philippines. Philippine departure rules recognize an OEC, OFW Clearance, or qualifying online BM OEC exemption for returning OFWs. So, for a helper who is: Same employer + same job + same Singapore Work Permit.
