First day on the job. Hired or Not Hired?

Turning up without the right PPE? Asking too many questions? Checking your phone once the job’s done?

First impressions count, but what’s actually a dealbreaker?

In EP03 of Hired or Not Hired, we’re putting the Hirestaff team on the spot with a few first-day scenarios.

What do you reckon? Let us know in the comments!

Looking for your next role? Give us a shout.

Pay landed? Sweet. But does it match the week you worked?

Take a minute to check your payslip against your timesheet. Look at your hours, your pay rate and any agreed overtime or allowances.

Something doesn’t look right? Get in touch with your employer or recruiter so they can check it with you.

Save this as a reminder for your next payday.

Got a role to fill but no time to spend weeks finding the right person?

We get it. You’ve got a business to run, a team to look after and plenty of other things on your plate.

The last thing you need is to spend hours going through CVs, chasing candidates and organising interviews.

That’s where we can take a bit of the pressure off.

We get to know your business, understand what you’re looking for and do the legwork to find people who are right for the job.

No unnecessary runaround. Just good people and straightforward recruitment.

Got a role you need filled? Give our team a shout. We’re always up for a chat.

HIRED OR NOT HIRED? EP02: CV EDITION

Be honest. When was the last time you actually updated your CV?

This week, we’re putting our recruiters to the test with three CV scenarios:

• A CV that’s longer than it needs to be.
• A whole lot of short-term jobs.
• Spelling mistakes left, right and centre.

Would we still give you a shot? Or is it a straight NOT HIRED?

You’ll have to watch to find out.

And if your CV could do with a bit of TLC, don’t stress. We’ve got free CV tips and job-hunting advice on our website to help you out.

Looking for work? Give our team a bell. We’ll help you find something that suits.
