Class 1 (C+E) HGV Driver / HIAB – Temp to Perm

We are currently seeking an experienced Class 1 (C+E) HGV Driver / HIAB Operator for a temp-to-permanent position based in Thornliebank, Glasgow. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy and growing construction business with the potential for long-term employment.

Pay & Benefits
£14.40 per hour for the first 39 hours
Overtime paid at time and a half after 39 hours
5-day attendance bonus paid at your basic hourly rate
Average working week of 45–50 hours, depending on workload
Temp-to-perm opportunity with a well-established company
The Role

As a Class 1 Driver, you will be responsible for the safe transportation and delivery of construction materials to sites using our tri-axle trailers, ensuring all loads are secured in accordance with company procedures and legal requirements.

The role will also involve operating our Class 2 Rigid HIAB vehicle, delivering and collecting plant and equipment from various sites.

Key Responsibilities
Transport and deliver construction materials safely and efficiently
Operate Class 1 and Class 2 HIAB vehicles as required
Ensure loads are correctly secured and compliant with regulations
Carry out daily vehicle checks and defect reporting
Complete delivery paperwork and transport documentation accurately
Comply with tachograph regulations, driver hours legislation, and health & safety requirements
Liaise effectively with site teams and the transport department
Requirements

Essential
✔ Valid Class 1 (C+E) Licence
✔ Valid Driver CPC Qualification
✔ Valid Digital Tachograph Card
✔ Good understanding of load security and transport compliance
✔ Clean driving licence

Desirable
✔ HIAB Certification
✔ Plant Loader/Securer Ticket
✔ Minimum 2 years' industry experience

Van Driver / Driver’s Mate – East Kilbride – Immediate Start

We are currently recruiting for a Van Driver / Driver’s Mate for our client based in East Kilbride, with an immediate start available.

This is a hands-on role working alongside an experienced technician, involving the delivery, removal, installation and maintenance of commercial sunbeds across various customer locations.

The Role:
Driving company vans to customer sites
Assisting with the removal and installation of sunbeds
Helping diagnose and fix faults on machines
Heavy lifting and physical work involved
Working as part of a two-person team
Providing excellent customer service while on site
Requirements:
Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
Full UK driving licence preferred
Good attitude and customer-facing manner
Reliable and flexible approach to work
Comfortable with early starts
Occasional overnight stays may be required
Hours:
Monday to Friday
Early starts required from time to time
Pay:
£13.50 per hour whilst temporary
Temp to perm opportunity
Permanent salary between £32,000 – £45,000 per annum depending on experience

We are currently recruiting for a Van Driver / Driver’s Mate on behalf of our client based in East Kilbride for an immediate start.

This is a temporary ongoing position offering consistent hours with the opportunity for regular work.

Job Details:
Location: East Kilbride
Hours: Monday to Saturday, 6:00am start until finish
Average Hours: Approx. 45 hours per week
Please note: Not every week will include a Saturday shift
Pay Rate: £13.00 per hour
Duties Include:
Delivering and collecting laundry from commercial customers including:
Hotels
Guest houses
Student accommodation
Military/army sites
Driving a van fitted with a tail lift
Working as part of a 2-person team as a Driver’s Mate when required
Loading and unloading laundry cages and bags
Removing clean laundry and replacing with dirty laundry collections
Pushing and manoeuvring rolling cages
Requirements:
Must be physically fit and comfortable with heavy lifting
Laundry bags can weigh up to 20kg
Fully loaded rolling cages can weigh up to 200kg
Previous van driving or delivery experience preferred
Reliable with a good work ethic
Full UK driving licence required for driver role
