Chef de Partie (For a new restaurant in Hamilton)
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to delivering high-quality meals in a fast-paced environment. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to perfection and served promptly.
Duties
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment.
Assist in meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and marinating ingredients as required.
Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are strictly adhered to at all times.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during peak hours.
Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages to the kitchen manager.
Participate in the training of new kitchen staff, sharing knowledge of cooking techniques and safety practices.
Skills
Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a restaurant or catering environment.
Strong culinary skills with an understanding of various cooking methods and techniques.
Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices in kitchen hygiene.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent teamwork skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues in a busy kitchen setting.
