Who should you choose as your attorney?

What actually happens if you don't have a Will?

Your estate gets divided according to the intestacy rules, not your wishes. The law states who gets what, and it will not always reflect what you'd want.

If you're unmarried but in a long-term relationship, your partner may get nothing. Also family members who are not first in line, friends, favourite charities etc get nothing.

If you are married but have children from a previous relationship, things can get complicated quickly.

Nothing you would have wanted will be considered if not in a valid Will.
