Morning region, i tipped out 1.2mm this morning, over the 9 days of rain in a row, i recorded 52.8mm, Tamworth AP 59.2mm over 7 days. Yesterday saw parts of the Tablelands getting storms, with Armidale AP 40.6mm, however the Armidale town gauge only recored 12mm, so it was hit & miss. Guyra & Woolbrook saw 20mm. The next chance of rain will be on the weekend, with storms returning. ~Dave.

Severe Thunderstorm Warning
for LARGE HAILSTONES, DAMAGING WINDS and HEAVY RAINFALL
For people in parts of Northern Rivers, Mid North Coast, Northern Tablelands and North West Slopes and Plains Forecast Districts.

Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce large hailstones, damaging winds and heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding in the warning area over the next several hours. Locations which may be affected include Grafton, Coffs Harbour, Port Macquarie, Armidale, Kempsey and Yamba.

Severe thunderstorms are no longer occurring in the Hunter district and the warning for this district is CANCELLED.

Weather Situation: Severe thunderstorms are developing along an inland trough and southerly change moving across the northeast this afternoon..
Severe thunderstorms continue developing about the northeast this afternoon.

Morning region, looking at a very severe day for storms across the region, thanks to a unstable conditions & the atmosphere loaded with moisture. Storms are very likely on the Slopes & Tablelands from late morning. Please keep an eye on the page for updated warnings. I tpped out 17mm here this morning, bringing my 7 day total to 51.1mm. ~Dave.
