These lovely ladies have won a fresh auto car wash as part of our monthly volunteer appreciation draw.

Many of our volunteers generously use their own vehicles to help deliver meals and support our clients, and we're grateful for the time, care, and commitment they bring to our community every day.

Introducing "Cuppa & Catch Up" Monthly Volunteer Morning Tea 💙

We’re excited to introduce our new Monthly Volunteer Morning Tea - happening on the last Wednesday of every month!

This is a chance for our wonderful volunteers to come together, enjoy a cuppa, share stories, connect with one another and celebrate the incredible work you do for our community.

To help with catering, we kindly ask that all volunteers RSVP at least one week prior to each morning tea.

Stronger Together 💙

Last week our Committee President - Michael Hall, and Head Chef - Michael Herden, attended the 2026 National Meals on Wheels Conference in Adelaide.

More than 200 Meals on Wheels delegates from across Australia came together under the theme "Stronger Together" to explore the future of care, community, and connection. Over three days, attendees shared ideas, celebrated achievements, discussed challenges facing the sector, and explored new ways to support older Australians to remain independent in their own homes.

The conference provided a fantastic opportunity to learn from industry leaders, connect with fellow Meals on Wheels services, and bring home fresh ideas that will help strengthen our service for clients, volunteers, and the wider community.

Last week, Ben joined us for work placement in the kitchen and absolutely smashed it 💪🍽️ From prepping meals to helping the team wherever needed, his positive attitude and willingness to learn stood out every single day.

It’s great to see young people getting involved in the community, building skills, and giving things a go. The future is looking bright 🌟

💙 Massive congratulations to Cheyse! 💙

Over the weekend, Jess, Cheyse and Rochelle attended the National Volunteer Week Celebration at bicentennial park, where Cheyse received a Junior Volunteer Recognition award for his amazing efforts volunteering with Tamworth Meals on Wheels. 👏✨

Cheyse’s kindness, dedication and willingness to help others make him a valued part of our team and community. We’re incredibly proud to see a young volunteer recognised for making such a positive difference.
