🏡 HOMESCHOOL TEACHER | Kommetjie, Cape Town
A family in Kommetjie is looking for a qualified, neuro-affirming teacher to guide their two children (Grade 4 & Grade 7) through their homeschooling journey.
They are seeking someone calm, organised, and experienced in supporting children with additional needs.
💰 Salary: R18,000 – R20,000 / month
⏰ Hours: Monday – Friday, 08:00 – 15:00 (built up gradually)
🗓️ Start Date: January 2027 (observation period in December 2026)
📍 Location: Kommetjie, Cape Town (≤30 min commute preferred)
🌟 THE ROLE
You’ll create a predictable, engaging homeschool environment shaped around how the children learn best:
• Plan and adapt the curriculum into manageable steps
• Liaise with the homeschool programme and maintain records
• Foster and document interest-led learning
• Establish calm, predictable daily routines
• Support executive function, scheduling, and task management
• Provide regular, clear progress updates to parents
• Assist with child-related errands and light household tasks in the afternoons

This is a neurodiverse home. A grounded, low-demand, and patient professional who understands ADHD, PDA, and autism will thrive here. Must love dogs! 🐶
✅ REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor of Education degree (essential)
• Experience supporting neurodivergent / special needs learners (essential)
• Prior homeschooling experience
• Strong planning, organisational, and communication skills
• Flexible, co-regulating approach to sensory needs and changing moods
• Valid driver’s licence and own reliable vehicle
