NEW: DPS has made changes to the state’s commercial driver license (CDL) testing process. Effective today, all Texas CDL knowledge exams will be administered in English only.

This change aligns Texas’ testing procedures with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s (FMCSA) English language proficiency requirements and will help ensure that all newly licensed commercial drivers have the communication skills necessary to operate these vehicles safely on Texas roads.

I Love it when my students stop by and show me their trucks and tell me about their new Careers! Rich Cowles juat pulled up and... he landed a great job... 1 month or less after he graduated.. great pay and benefits... no weekends and home almost every night!!

Ryan Thompson just gave TDI a 5 Star Review! He came through a company that has sent me a few drivers since 2022. Excavation company and the owner Mick is a great guy to work with too. Ryan was the 1st of 2 guys Mick sent me that are testing today...
Ryan loved everything about our school and did not have 1 complaint.
