Job Title: Senior Accounts Executive / Assistant Accounting Manager
Job Summary: Our Client is seeking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accounts Executive or Assistant Accounting Manager with a minimum of 3-4 years of full sets of accounting experience. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire accounting process and ensuring accurate financial records and reports. The ideal candidate should possess strong knowledge of accounting principles, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to lead and mentor junior accounting staff.
Responsibilities:
General Ledger and Financial Reporting:
Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements in accordance with accounting standards.
Analyze financial data, identifying trends, and providing meaningful insights to management.
Accounts Payable and Receivable:
Oversee the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely processing and payment of invoices.
Monitor and follow up on outstanding receivables, addressing any discrepancies or issues promptly.
Review and authorize payment transactions, adhering to company policies and approval processes.
Month-end and Year-end Closing:
Coordinate and lead the month-end and year-end closing processes.
Ensure all necessary accruals, provisions, and reconciliations are completed accurately and on time.
Prepare schedules and support documentation for audit and tax requirements.
Financial Analysis and Budgeting:
Conduct financial analysis, variance analysis, and performance reviews to support decision-making.
Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasting.
Compliance and Internal Controls:
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and relevant regulations.
Establish and maintain strong internal controls and accounting procedures.
Collaborate with auditors and provide support during internal and external audits.
Team Leadership and Mentoring:
Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff, facilitating their professional growth.
Delegate tasks, set priorities, and ensure timely completion of assignments.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum 3-4 years of hands-on experience in full sets of accounting.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and practices.
Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in financial data.
Strong organizational and time management abilities.
Leadership qualities with the ability to mentor and motivate team members.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Prior experience in supervising accounting teams is a plus.
