An established main contractor is looking for a utility engineer 😊.

Key Responsibilities/Duties
• Liaise and coordinate between utilities agencies and construction team on excavation works, services diversion and reinstatement work near underground utilities services
• Work closely with utilities agencies and LTA’s utility works contractor to provide update of progress in construction site, utilities damages or unknown service
• Supervise subcontractors’ works to ensure timely completion and quality standards of project Monitor to ensure that utilities support/diversion works executed are in accordance to statutory requirements, construction procedures and safe work practices
• Programming works schedule and monitoring building progress, compliance with regulations
Requirements
• Degree in Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years' relevant experience in construction LTA underground station construction projects including bored tunnels.
• Proficient in CAD would be at an added advantage
• Self-motivated & able to work independently
• Great initiatives & hands-on experience

👏👏👏Elated to see the 2nd batch of Vietnamese workers 👷‍♂️ arrived in Singapore for one of our key clients who is a A1 civil engineering works core contractor of LTA. 😀

Those who are familiar with the construction industry/Built Environment sector will know that wet trades which include bricklaying, tiling and plastering are one of the toughest trades.

Throwback to one of our largest Vietnamese workers contingent in March 2022

The Vietnamese pilot scheme commenced in 2021 in a 2-year trial as Singapore tests out the viability of bringing in Vietnamese to diversify the source of skilled workers.

JC Employment works with our local partners in Vietnam to have rigorous end-to-end process to ensure that we only bring in trained and skilled workers which have experience working in countries like Japan, Korea, Romania, Dubai, New Zealand, etc.

We hope that Vietnamese workers could continue to do their best in Singapore in terms of social behaviour, attitude and skill/trade development so that Singapore Government could eventually turn Vietnamese source into a mainstream source.

You must have heard and aware that the Pre-Departure Preparatory Programme (PDPP) will be lifted with effect from 1 July 2022. PDPP was meant to ensure that all workers entering Singapore are covid-free. Now that we have reached the endemic stage, Singapore Government has made the timely call to relax the rules.

For our agent partners and workers who are planning to come to Singapore, you may refer to the revised rules as per the post or refer to MOM website for further details.
