We regret to announce that we are pausing operations on the JEDI Jobs platform starting this month.

Our mission is to bridge the gap between talented jobseekers from disadvantaged communities and progressive employers prioritizing diversity and inclusion.

Unfortunately, with our dedication and the support from our community, we have not been able to reach the level of traction necessary to sustain our free services. This decision to pause the service has not been easy to make, as we are deeply committed to our purpose.

During this time, we want to request your feedback regarding our platform. As a deaf person working in television, Rose Ayling-Ellis had to overcome countless hurdles and prejudice before getting to where she is now. As a young budding actress, she couldn’t get into drama school not only because of its inaccessibility but also due to the discrimination from agents who were prejudiced and biased and doubted her ability to secure work. Despite all these external barriers, she rose to fame for her groundbreaking win in BBC’s hit dance competition Strictly Come Dancing and her role in the British TV series, EastEnders.

Rose now advocates for real change in the entertainment industry, challenging tokenism and pushing for the normalization of deaf and disabled people on screen. She highlights a critical point: her disability is not the primary barrier—it's the societal factors like lack of accessibility, discriminatory attitudes, and inadequate support systems that create obstacles for disabled people.
