Our client is a highly successful fashion business with an impressive 40-year heritage, renowned for creating trend-led product for the UK and international markets. As the business continues to grow, they are looking to appoint a talented Senior Girlswear Designer to create commercially successful collections for girls aged 7–14 years

This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded designer with a strong fashion handwriting and a genuine passion for creating product for the younger customer. The role will focus on designing across several well-established brands, with a particular emphasis on jersey product, while also contributing across a broader multi-product category mix.

Duties :

Designing trend-led, commercial multi-product collections with a focus on jersey.
Creating seasonal ranges across several established young fashion brands.
Identifying and interpreting key fashion, colour and fabric trends for the target customer.
Producing detailed CADs, technical packs and design presentations.
Working closely with product development and sourcing teams throughout the development process.
Presenting collections, concepts and seasonal direction to key internal stakeholders with confidence and credibility.

Key experienced needed

Proven and recent experience in a Senior Fashion Designer or equivalent level role and previous girlswear design experience is advantageous but not essential , more importantly, you will have a strong, youthful handwriting and the ability to translate trends into commercially successful product for the girlswear market..
Recent experience in a UK high street retail / brand or supplier
Strong multi-product womenswear or girlswear design experience, ideally with a significant jersey focus.
A trend-driven eye with a contemporary, youthful aesthetic.
Excellent CAD and Adobe Creative Suite skills.
Strong commercial awareness and understanding of the UK high street and fashion market.
Confident presenter with the personality and presence to showcase collections to senior stakeholders.
A proactive, energetic and resilient approach with the ability to influence and inspire others.
Commutable to London within an hour and eligible to work in the Uk

We are working with a growing successful fashion business in central London to add a Mid weight Womenswear to their design team of over 20 and work on a key premium womenswear brand of theirs . The brand works with more premium market ( think Reiss , Me&Em ) but at a slightly lower price point .

The role

Leading the design and product development of a key in womenswear house brand covering multi product
dealing with it's commercial relevance, and strong market performance.
Managing the full design lifecycle, from initial research and concept development, final technical packs to final SMS samples. Developing cohesive product ranges across multiple categories while maintaining aesthetic and quality standards.
Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, buying, merchandising, licensors, and international suppliers.
Souring seasonal fabrics, trims and collaborating with far East Asian and South Asian mills, factories, and suppliers.
Overseeing fabric, trim, and print development to deliver value-driven, on-brand collections.
Ensuring all designs meet cost targets and production timelines across diverse global markets.
Help present seasonal collections to buyers

Must haves to be shortlisted

We are looking for a Mid weight Womenswear designer looking to move to senior in the next 12 months
Womenswear Design experience must be recent ( UK experience ) and ideally supply background
First class communications skills ( verbal and written )
Must be dynamic and have a "can do attitude" , you will be asked sometimes to work on other brands so being flexible to key
London based ( or commutable within an hour ) and eligible to work in the UK
The role is office based , no WFH but there is flexible working hours

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Menswear Designer, you’ll take the lead in creating collections that resonate with streetwear culture. What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who doesn’t just design streetwear but lives it. You’ll need to bring hands-on experience in menswear design, ideally at a relevant streetwear brand, and a portfolio that showcases your bold, creative approach. Strong technical skills and a deep understanding of garment construction are essential, as is a genuine connection to streetwear culture.

● Portfolio: A bold, streetwear-focused portfolio that includes denim products.
● Skills: Strong technical expertise in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and garment construction.
