85.3-metre SilverYachts BOLD has recently been spotted cruising through the Kiel Canal in Germany. 🇩🇪
Delivered in 2019, Bold was designed with long-range capability and flexible spaces, with minimal crew intrusion in mind. This makes her particularly well suited to private charters in remote waters. Her naval architecture and military-inspired exterior design were created by Espen Øino International, while her interior design was developed in-house by the shipyard.
One of her defining features is a dedicated landing area for an AW109S Grand helicopter. This reflects a broader design evolution in the early 2010s, when heightened concerns over piracy prompted designers to incorporate more utilitarian, military-inspired elements into both yacht exteriors and interiors.

SHORE BASED ETO NEEDED FOR A 100m+ NEW BUILD YACHT PROJECT

Itinerary: Office based in Doha. Qatar with travel

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Electro-Technical Officer (ETO) for a new build yacht project. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of all electrical and electronic systems onboard during the build phase and sea trials.

Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and support electrical installation works onboard the yacht.
Carry out testing and commissioning of electrical, automation, navigation, communication, and entertainment systems.
Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and electronic faults.
Coordinate with shipyard teams, contractors, and suppliers to ensure timely completion of works.
Ensure all work is completed in compliance with class, flag state, and safety regulations.
Maintain accurate technical documentation and reporting.
Support sea trials and handover process.

REQUIREMENTS FOR APPLICATION:

- Valid STCW certificates & relevant CoC/ETO certification
- Previous experience as ETO onboard yachts, cruise vessels, or new build projects.
- Strong knowledge of marine electrical and automation systems.
- Experience with AV/IT, navigation, and communication systems is preferred.
- Willingness to travel and work within shipyard environments.
