Last week, we got the whole MPI team together for breakfast, a business briefing and a look at what’s ahead as we prepare to enter our 65th year in business! 🎉

It was a great opportunity to celebrate our achievements, hear about some exciting new opportunities on the horizon and recognise the part our people play in MPI’s success.

A big thank you to everyone who presented and to the whole team for their time, engagement and continued commitment.

💚 World Mental Health Day | 10 October

Not every struggle is visible.

Someone can seem absolutely fine on the outside while having a difficult time behind the scenes.

This year’s theme, “Lived experiences heard: real voices, real change”, is a reminder of the importance of listening and making space for people to talk about how they’re really feeling.

So, take a moment to check in with someone today. A simple “Are you OK?” and a genuine listen can mean a lot.

And if they’re not ready to talk, that’s OK too. Just let them know you’re there when they are.

Looking after people means looking after their mental health too. 💚

🏆 A very proud moment for MPI!

We’re delighted to share that MPI has been recognised by Siemens Mobility UK&I with the Responsible & Sustainable Procurement Award.

Last week, our Director Simon Henser attended the Siemens Mobility UK&I Supplier Conference and Awards to collect the award on behalf of MPI.

It’s fantastic recognition of the work that goes on across MPI every day, from our commitment to responsible and sustainable procurement to the service we provide and the long-standing partnerships we’ve built with our clients.

We’re especially proud to have that commitment recognised by Siemens, a partnership we’ve been proud to build over many years.

At MPI, we don’t just talk about giving back to the industries we support. We’re doing something about it! ✈️

The aviation industry is facing a well-documented and prolonged skills shortage, and after more than 60 years working within aviation, we see first-hand how important it is to bring new talent into the industry.

So, we’re really proud to welcome Iwan Jones, who started with us last Monday as our latest apprentice.

Iwan is studying Aeronautical Engineering at Coleg Cambria, while gaining valuable experience with us alongside his studies.

Last week, Tom Power went along to meet Iwan at the college and take a look at the amazing facilities he’s working with as part of his course. It’s great to see the practical skills and experience being developed alongside his studies.

For a recruitment business, investing in an apprentice might not be the obvious route. But if we’re going to encourage the industry to invest in its future workforce, we believe we should be prepared to do the same ourselves.

It’s one small step, but developing the next generation of aviation and engineering talent is something we’re proud to be part of.
