Now I’ve got your attention… 😂
I can neither confirm nor deny whether I’m the world’s best construction recruiter.
Self-proclaimed? Maybe.
But if you don’t back yourself after 22 years in recruitment, what hope have you got?
I started life on the tools as a plumber but after flooding multiple basements it was time for a change.
Somehow ending up in recruitment. Two decades later, I’m still here, still grafting, still building businesses and still competing with agencies considerably bigger than mine.
Hawkes isn’t the biggest agency.
And I’m alright with that.
I’d rather work with good construction businesses that are serious about hiring and understand what actually goes into finding the right people.
I map markets properly. I headhunt. I speak to people who aren’t applying to adverts. And if I think something isn’t going to work, I’ll tell you.
I’ve gone up against much bigger agencies plenty of times over the years and held my own.
David vs Goliath has always suited me.
And one thing anyone who has worked with me properly will know:
When I’m in your corner, I’m in your corner.
I’ll fight for the hire, chase every avenue and leave no stone unturned.
Give me trust, decent communication and mutual respect, and you’ll get the absolute best out of me.
Back me to do my job, and I’ll back you all the way.
So, world’s best construction recruiter?
