🎉 We did it!
Finally, our first Filipino nurse has arrived at our client's facility in Hannover! 🇵🇭➡️🇩🇪🩺
Before moving to Lower Saxony, she was completing a Federal Voluntary Service (Bundesfreiwilligendienst) in Rostock. Our colleague Teddy Sommerfeld interviewed her and introduced her to our client. 🤝
The entire process started in December 2025, and after many steps, we have finally reached this important milestone:
✅ Interview
✅ Introduction to the client
✅ Employment contract
✅ Application for recognition of equivalence & Deficit Notice
✅ Application for the ZAB Statement
✅ Application for change of employer & extension of residence permit
✅ Accommodation arrangements
✅ Start of employment! 🎉
After completing her Federal Voluntary Service, she was determined to take the next step and have her Filipino Bachelor of Science in Nursing qualification recognized in Germany. 🇵🇭🎓🩺🇩🇪
To make this possible, she needed an employer willing to support her through an Anerkennungspartnerschaft (Recognition Partnership). We were able to find the right partner for her and get the entire process underway. 🤝
To be honest, it has been an exciting journey with plenty of learning along the way. There were challenges and, of course, a few mistakes on both our side and the client's side. But that is part of the journey when you are working on a pilot project for the first time. 📚💪
The managing director of the nursing facility and I originally met at an information event. He told me that he was very interested in recruiting Filipino nurses for his facility.
And that's how our journey started! 🤝🇵🇭🇩🇪
Yesterday, she finally arrived at her new accommodation in Hannover 🏠, and today she is already starting her first late shift! 🩺👏
We wish her all the very best, a great start with her new employer and, most importantly, every success on her journey towards full recognition as a nurse in Germany! 🍀❤️
