For our Indigenous warriors who fought for our Country, we honour your strength, your courage, and your sacrifice. You stood tall in the face of adversity, protecting not only the land beneath your feet, but the spirit, culture, and stories that have been carried for generations.

We remember the resilience you showed, the battles you fought—both seen and unseen—and the legacy you leave behind. Your connection to Country, your leadership, and your unwavering determination continue to guide and inspire us today.

We walk in your footsteps with pride, carrying forward your knowledge, your truth, and your fight, ensuring that your sacrifices are never forgotten and that your spirit lives on in all of us 🖤💛❤️

Meet CRYSTAL RICHARDS
C.U.P Facilitator / Mentor

In 2010, Crystal left Rockhampton to pursue a career in the mining industry, working across Australia and experiencing a range of Cultures, Communities, and Landscapes.

As a proud Ghungalu Woman and devoted Mother, she later returned home to care for her family and reconnect deeply with her Culture and Country.

Today, through her role with I AIM, Crystal shares the knowledge and wisdom passed down from her Elders—helping to keep Culture Strong, Stories Alive, and Guiding Future Generations with Pride and Purpose.

“We carry the Strength of our Elders, the stories of our past, and the responsibility to Walk Strong for the Generations to come.”

Kevin Rudd’s Apology to the Stolen Generations is one of the most significant moments in modern Australian history

The apology addressed the harm done to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples — especially the Stolen Generations, who were Indigenous children forcibly removed from their families under government policies between the late 1800s and 1970s.

❤️ Meaning & Importance

It was the first official national apology from an Australian Prime Minister.

It marked a turning point in Australia’s relationship with its Indigenous peoples.

For many Indigenous Australians, hearing the word “Sorry” from the government brought healing, recognition, and validation of their experiences.

It was also seen as a step towards Reconciliation and acknowledgment of the truth of Australia’s history.
