Earlier this month, CCF Member Matthews Steer hosted us and fellow CCF Members Joe Patamisi, Sheridan KITCHING, Ping Gangur and Clint Grundy at their "Success Stories Breakfast - Building a Family Business That Lasts".

The event featured Adele and Peter Levinge (Dennis Family Corporation) who shared the stage for a conversation on the realities of building, leading and evolving a family business.

We also heard from Senior Economist Ryan Felsman as he presented the Australian Economic Update.

October 15th marks 56 years since the West Gate Bridge collapse, which claimed the lives of 35 workers and seriously injured 18 others when a 112-metre span of the structure collapsed into the Yarra River below.

Today, we pause to remember the 35 men who lost their lives and acknowledge the families, friends, colleagues and communities forever changed by their loss.

This tragedy remains a defining moment in Victoria's construction industry and led to significant improvements in workplace health and safety, helping to protect workers across the industry to this day.

It was a pleasure to join the presenter panel at the Construction & Mining Equipment Industry Group (CMEIG) Member Forum this morning, alongside Andy Hunter (John Holland), Clea Smith (Tradeswomen Australia) and Osama Ali (Caterpillar Inc.).
CCF Executive Director Annie Kessell presented on the challenges and opportunities shaping a transitioning industry - with a focus on project pipelines, workforce development, technological machine innovation and productivity.
Industry collaboration is a MUST for better outcomes and for building the capability, capacity and productivity needed to meet future project demands.
