Hamilton Island is seeking an energetic and experienced Fitness Club Manager to lead the operation of our Fitness Club and recreational facilities.

Life in this role brings together health, wellbeing, sport, recreation, and island living. You’ll oversee facilities including island gyms, tennis courts, and mini golf, while helping deliver fitness classes, personal training, wellness programs, and recreational activities in one of Australia’s most unique resort environments.

This role plays an important part in creating exceptional fitness and recreational experiences for guests and staff. As Fitness Club Manager, you’ll lead and develop Fitness Club team members, manage rosters, support facility presentation and equipment safety, coordinate maintenance, oversee budgets and reporting, and work collaboratively with departments across the island.

We’re looking for a motivated fitness professional with strong leadership skills, high personal fitness, excellent communication, and a passion for guest experiences.

To be successful, you’ll need Certificate III and IV in Fitness, current Senior First Aid and CPR, and a current Driver Licence. A Yoga Instructor qualification and previous management experience in a similar role are highly regarded.

From buses and trucks to earthmoving equipment, cranes, generators, and specialist machinery, you’ll work across a diverse fleet in a busy island workshop - with no city traffic, FIFO rosters, or long commutes.

As part of our Vehicle Workshop team, you’ll help keep essential equipment running safely and efficiently, supporting everything from island transport and infrastructure to the wider guest and community experience.

We’re currently seeking a reliable and safety-focused mechanic with an Australian recognised trade qualification in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics, Diesel Fitting, or similar. You’ll need a minimum of 4 years’ post-trade experience, strong diagnostic skills, experience with heavy vehicles and mobile plant, an HR driver’s licence, and a current manual driver’s licence.
