As part of the Geelong Regional Engineers Group (GREG) and the Institute of Public Works Engineering Australasia Geelong hosted the Country Engineers Weekend. Was great to see our Engineering friends in Shelton and other GREG members and the State's professional engineers from the Yarra Valley, to Traralgon to Kyneton. Also helped with career tips along the way. If you're an engineer in Geelong starting or ending your Engineering career GREG is the place to be!

Much anticipated, with an expert panel personally curated for Harvest's HR Roundtable - "Redesigning Work in the Age of AI"

Kevin Hayes - Consultant who will explore whether organisations are designing their AI future, or inheriting it. Kevin will provoke further thought and informed action on integrating AI into the tasks and activities of work.

Cam Larkin - Head of Talent Acquisition and Future Workforce for Leidos (also speaker at this year's Melbourne AI summit) on real world examples in job design & architecture, skills intelligence and AI agents in the workplace.

Alex Paplis - Previous Data and AI lead at Microsoft now Founder of AI Company - Hypergen. Alex will provide business and user stories, cutting through AI hype to focus on what actually works.

Director Maree Rayner Chaired the AGM last Monday, hit the road to Shepparton Tuesday, Reported on an employability project to Deakin University Wednesday, moderated an Australian Institute of Company Directors Director's Briefing Wednesday, listened to Commonwealth Bank's Chief Economist with Committee for Wyndham Thursday, and the & briefing Friday. Worked with Deakin University on a new capstone project "Is recruiting advertising dead?!" last and this Friday and had attended the Committee for Geelong State Treasurer's briefing. Some client catch ups (and job briefs) and - To keep sane..there is golf!! ⛳️🏌️‍♀️ Enjoy your weekend!

Yesterday, Harvest Talent Recruitment & People Solutions Industry Engagement Lead, Brendan, was at gforceemploymentrecruitment presentation at Geelong Chamber of Commerce on skills shortages. Great work the organisation does in entry level, apprenticeships and provision. Harvest moves in the next sphere of recruitment at higher level/specialist spaces. We see Gforce as a partner not competitor in recruitment. And we are both proudly Geelong founded! “Recruiting in the region for the Geelong region”.
