Golden Waves Enterprises (Pvt) Ltd was formed in the early years of the new millennium, in the year 2003. In the year 2014 in September the company was offered a contract by Steelmakers Zimbabwe (Pvt) Ltd mainly for the purpose of steel production. Currently, the head office is situated at 11 Luton Rd, LIS, Gweru, Zimbabwe. The company employs university, college graduates, artisan

s and experienced personnel on a project basis, after a thorough screening process. As such the company sets stringent standards of performance for them. As a small business, we cannot afford slipshod work and poor results. The company is still young and has a vision towards diversification of its operations by harnessing local resources and expertise. We are basically contractors, fabricators, project managers and marketers. As such we have a thrust to set up linkages with progressive local and regional enterprises and individuals. We thus continue searching for innovation within our region in order to enhance our business growth and close product and service gaps in the economy of Zimbabwe. As time progresses, new products will gradually be introduced in line with our mission statement. VISION

Today at the carwash the washman asked for my car keys so that he could move my car out of the wash bay to the drying and polishing bay. As I was about to give him the car keys, I changed my mind and told him to show which bay he wanted the car to be parked next. I then drove the car there myself.

This is just one example of how we let go without all the facts and may live to regret having given away control to a total stranger. There are so many times when we let our guard down and we shouldn't.

In this case I had no idea whether or not the washman had a driver's licence. I also had no knowledge of the insurance cover of the car wash. So just giving control to him by way of trusting that he could drive properly could have been a mistake.

How many times have we given control over our assets, our finances, our health, our happiness, our dreams and our future to strangers without carrying out the necessary due diligence on their capabilities and their integrity?
