A strong safety culture is built on more than rules and procedures, it’s built on people looking out for the person to the left and right of them.

If a colleague is injured at work:

⚠️ Stay Calm and Assess the Situation
Avoid panicking. Quickly assess the severity of the injury and any immediate dangers in the area.

⚠️ Get Help Immediately
Alert a supervisor, designated first aider, or emergency responder according to your workplace procedures.

⚠️ Do Not Move the Injured Person
Avoid moving someone who is injured as this could worsen certain injuries. If it is safe to do so, isolate any hazards that could cause further harm to the injured person or others nearby.

⚠️ Provide Assistance Within Your Training
Only administer first aid if you are trained and authorized to do so.

⚠️ Report the Incident
Every injury, near miss, or safety concern should be reported immediately and with urgency.

⚠️ Support Your Colleague
