Maintenance Technician

Duties:
Lead and train/support technicians or trainees in own work group
• Mentoring and leading subordinate in the department
• Perform any other assigned reasonable duties
• Carry out work instruction to the best of their ability.
• Develop and foster staff through motivation and leading by example
• Complete all work requests on time.
• Attend to shift breakdowns ASAP.
• Ensure correct start up and shutdown of plant at the start and end of shift.
• Assist the Maintenance Department to achieve KPI targets.
• Adhere to accepted housekeeping standards (5S)
• Do shift handover at the end of each shift.
• Engage and participate in Departmental reviews (weekly/monthly/quarterly)
• Ensure the accurate recording and reporting of breakdowns at the end of shift.
• Ensure compliance with the Environmental Regulation (ISO 14001) and Health and Safety Regulations and procedures within the company (ISO 45001). This includes adherence with the company policies and procedures.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Trade tested as a Maintenance Electrician
5 years of Experience Gained in a press shop environment
3 years of skill in electrical panel design and wiring
Maintenance and installation of Electrical systems.
Press Shop experience (Mechanical Presses)
Computer Literacy (MS Office)
Leadership
Time Management
Working at heights
Operate scissor lift
