Engineering Stores Coordinator - MOKOPANE
FTC for 3 to 6 months
Key Responsibilities :
1. 5S & Physical Store Cleanup
• Sort & Straighten: Clear out clutter, group parts by machine or type, and assign every item a designated home.
• Shine & Standardise : Clean Storage areas, wipe down parts, and apply clear, standardized bin location labels.
• Sustain Layouts: Create visual floor markings and dedicated parking bays for heavy spares like the 7-tonne gearbox.
2. Detailed Technical Identification
• Precision Recording: Document detailed part specifications including manufacturer names, exact model codes, dimensions, and material types.
• Technical Matching : Identify exact technical differences between visually similar parts (e.g., distinguishing a metric bolt from an imperial bolt, or a viton seal from a nitrile seal).
• Photo Logging: Capture clear digital photographs of parts and nameplates to upload into the inventory system.
3. Redundancy & Plant Verification
• Plant Walkdowns: Take unlabelled or suspect spare parts out to the physical plant floors to verify if the matching machine is still operational.
• Dead Stock Identification: Flag spares that belong to decommissioned, scraped, or upgraded factory machinery.
• Scrap Documentation: Compile a detailed "Redundant Asset Register" with recommended actions (Scrap, Sell, or Return to Vendor) for management sign-off.
Required Skills:
• Mechanical Engineering qualification will be added advantage and must have at least 3 or 5 years’ working experience on this role.
• Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with mechanical and electrical components.
• Software Skills: Experience with computerized inventory or ERP tools.
• Organization: Strong focus on order, safety rules, and warehouse upkeep.
