HR Officer Spec

Our client in the gambling sector would like to recruit a Cape Town based HR Officer in their Human Resources Department with at least 4 years’ relevant experience. This position reports to the Human Resources Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
● Manage the end-to-end recruitment process
● Conduct employee onboarding and off-boarding processes
● Drafting of letters of appointment, promotions and other administrative processes, etc.
● Champion employee wellness and wellness initiatives
● Conduct induction and policy workshops
● Administer and educate employees on benefits and benefit structures
● Administer the performance management processes, education and training
● Provide input with policy development and documentation
● Consultation, compilation and submission of Employment Equity Plans and reports
● Maintenance and administration of the leave module and updating of information on the People ESS system
● General HR reporting, including collation and reporting of statistics – monthly and quarterly
● Assisting and consultation with employees on employment matters including IR and HR related queries
● Accountability for HR projects / research as required
● Ensure compliance to regulatory, policy and audit requirements
● Develop and conduct policy and procedure training on a regular basis
● Co-ordinate CSI for Shared Services based on BEE & GM requirements

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
● Minimum of a Diploma in HR Management (Degree preferable)
● Knowledge and practice of Statutory laws, Labour Relations Act and BCEA, etc
● Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel and MS Power Point
● English, and proficiency in a regional language would be advantageous
● High respect for confidentiality
● Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
● Ability to do business travel to Regional offices as rostered
● Ability to use discretion, integrity and a high level of professionalism and maturity
● Ability to be proactive and self-driven
● Ability to work effectively under pressure
● Ability to work without supervision
● Methodical with excellent planning and organizational skills
● Ability to manage and meet deadlines
● General ability:

Our client in the Gaming Industry would like to recruit a Cape Town based Revenue Analyst in their Finance Department with at least 1 - 2 years relevant experience. Salary is between R16K - R18k per month and it is a permanent position. Preferred equity is an African male/ Colored male/ White female.

Responsibilities:
• Technical knowledge of CEMS reporting, Qlikview, GGR Statistics, CRM and the
implementation of processes and procedures
• Analysis of any significant machine or site GGR variances
• Revenue and game play data gathering from the Central Monitoring System
• Detailed analysis of game play data & timeous presentation of reports to various
stakeholders
• The monitoring of the Central Electronic Monitoring System (CEMS) in terms of adjustments,
queries and cash-ups
• Recording of all Site queries relating to cash up variances, noting all stages of investigation
and resolution
• Statistical reporting and performance analysis (supporting role)
• Ad-hoc data sourcing and analysis of key games and machines and licensed sites
• Ensuring the compliance to internal and external Policies and Procedures and Regulations with all related Regulatory Authorities

Requirements:
• Grade 12
• English with a regional language would be advantageous.
• Intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills & excellent presentation skills
• Strong analytic, numerical, administrative and problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail, accuracy and process driven
• Ability to communicate well in writing and verbally with internal and external customers
and third-party service providers
• Ability to plan, organise and prioritise
• Ability to interpret statistical info and to produce statistical reports
• Ability to interpret account information
• High tolerance to change as the industry changes and therefore internal processes need
to be modified
• Self-motivated, detail driven and deadline orientated
• Ability to work in a pressured environment and to manage own stress

• Processing monthly Government duty payments
• Ensuring the compliance to internal and external Policies and Procedures and Regulations with all
related Regulatory Authorities

• Collection of weekly revenue from sites
• The monitoring of the Route Monitoring Systems in terms of adjustments, queries and cash-ups
• Recording, monitoring and follow-up in terms of generated revenue

Requirements:
• Grade 12
• Studying towards a finance qualification
• English with a regional language would be advantageous
• Experience with debt collection
• Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel and experience in the Great Plains accounting system would be advantageous

Responsibilities:
• Ensure compliance to internal and external policies, procedures and regulations with all related regulatory authorities.
• Demonstrate a high level of customer service at all times through adherence to contact centre SLA’s and key performance indicators “(KPI’s”)
• Ensure that player dispute resolution procedures are followed and performed timeously
• Apply technical knowledge of the Limited Payout Machines “(LPM’s)” when troubleshooting faults and queries
• Effective use of the National Central Electronic Monitoring System (“NCEMS”) when performing tasks and resolving LPM faults
