HR Officer Spec
Our client in the gambling sector would like to recruit a Cape Town based HR Officer in their Human Resources Department with at least 4 years’ relevant experience. This position reports to the Human Resources Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
● Manage the end-to-end recruitment process
● Conduct employee onboarding and off-boarding processes
● Drafting of letters of appointment, promotions and other administrative processes, etc.
● Champion employee wellness and wellness initiatives
● Conduct induction and policy workshops
● Administer and educate employees on benefits and benefit structures
● Administer the performance management processes, education and training
● Provide input with policy development and documentation
● Consultation, compilation and submission of Employment Equity Plans and reports
● Maintenance and administration of the leave module and updating of information on the People ESS system
● General HR reporting, including collation and reporting of statistics – monthly and quarterly
● Assisting and consultation with employees on employment matters including IR and HR related queries
● Accountability for HR projects / research as required
● Ensure compliance to regulatory, policy and audit requirements
● Develop and conduct policy and procedure training on a regular basis
● Co-ordinate CSI for Shared Services based on BEE & GM requirements
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
● Minimum of a Diploma in HR Management (Degree preferable)
● Knowledge and practice of Statutory laws, Labour Relations Act and BCEA, etc
● Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel and MS Power Point
● English, and proficiency in a regional language would be advantageous
● High respect for confidentiality
● Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
● Ability to do business travel to Regional offices as rostered
● Ability to use discretion, integrity and a high level of professionalism and maturity
● Ability to be proactive and self-driven
● Ability to work effectively under pressure
● Ability to work without supervision
● Methodical with excellent planning and organizational skills
● Ability to manage and meet deadlines
