This is an excellent opportunity for hardworking individuals with chrome plant experience who are committed to supporting safe and efficient engineering operations in a mining environment.

Purpose of the Role
The successful candidates will assist the Engineering team with day-to-day maintenance and operational activities to support the safe, reliable, and efficient running of the Chrome Plant.

Minimum Requirements
• Grade 10 • 2–3 years’ experience in a mining or plant environment
• 2–3 years’ experience in a Chrome Plant
• Medically fit

This Role:
In this role, you will apply your mechanical expertise within our plant and mining operations to ensure optimal equipment reliability. The position focuses on high-quality maintenance, hands-on work with industrial pumps, and strict adherence to site safety standards.

Minimum Requirements:
• Grade 12 / Matric certificate.
• A valid Section 13 or 26D FITTER Trade Certificate is strictly required.
• Minimum of 5 years’ practical experience as a Fitter after completing your trade
• Strong background in plant maintenance and heavy machinery.
• Solid, hands-on experience within a plant or mining environment.
• Proven, direct experience working with various types of pumps.
• A valid driver’s licence and own reliable transport are essential.
• Candidates must have a clean criminal record and be medically fit for duty.

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced, and results-driven Plant Manager to lead our chrome mineral processing operations in the North-West area. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management of plant operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective production while maintaining the highest standards of quality, environmental compliance, and operational excellence.

The incumbent will hold a 2.6.1 legal appointment in terms of the Mine Health and Safety Act (Act 29 of 1996) and will provide strategic leadership to achieve production targets, optimise plant performance, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Minimum Requirements
• Degree in Chemical Engineering or Metallurgical Engineering.\
• Proven experience as a Plant Manager within the mineral processing industry, with specific experience in chrome beneficiation and processing.
• Comprehensive understanding of chrome processing operations, beneficiation techniques, and plant optimisation.
• Demonstrated experience managing large operational teams in a mining or mineral processing environment.
• Strong knowledge of health, safety, environmental, and operational legislation applicable to the mining industry.
• Successfully completed Legal Liability Training in terms of the Mine Health and Safety Act (Act 29 of 1996).
• Ability to hold a 2.6.1 legal appointment.
• Sound financial, operational, and maintenance management experience.
