Job Title: Assistant Manager – Paint Shop - Urgently
Location: Randburg (Linden area)
Salary: R25,000 Cost to Company + Commission (based on new clients acquired)
We are looking for a hands-on, driven, and customer-focused Assistant Manager to join our paint shop team in the Linden area. This role suits someone with strong product knowledge, sales ability, and a proactive approach to problem-solving and daily operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the day-to-day management of the paint shop
Deliver excellent customer service and build strong client relationships
Drive sales and actively seek out new business opportunities
Prepare accurate quotations for customers
Conduct paint analysis and recommend appropriate products and colour variants
Perform cash-ups and manage basic financial/admin processes
Handle administrative duties and maintain accurate records
Assist with stock control and general store operations
Open and lock up the premises when required
Minimum Requirements:
Fluent in English and Afrikaans
Valid driver’s licence and own reliable vehicle
Strong problem-solving skills
Highly customer-oriented and sales-driven
Knowledge of different paint types, colours, and applications
Proficient in paint analysis
Computer literate (MS Office Suite)
Strong administrative capability
Physically fit and able to lift 25L paint buckets
Residing in or near the Randburg / Linden area
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday: 07:30 – 17:00
Saturdays: 08:00 – 13:00
Preferred:
Age between 25 and 50
