We are a Christian family of 5 based in Kempton Park looking for a mature, trustworthy and experienced live-in helper starting 1 June. Family: Mother & Father, 3-year-old boy (goes to preschool), and twin girls turning 1 year old at the end of the month. We are pastors, so we are looking for someone with a strong Christian background who is comfortable attending church with us on Sundays. The primary focus of this role is childcare and supporting the smooth running of the home. Daily chores include waking up early for morning house chores, preparing the toddler for school by 6:45am, taking care of the children throughout the day while I work from home, general cleaning and keeping the home neat and organised, preparing family meals, tidying up after dinner, and occasionally watering a small garden. The toddler usually returns from school around 3pm, and after 5pm I will also assist with the children. In the evenings, we usually pray together, bath the toddler and prepare for bed. A washing machine, dryer and dishwasher are available, and someone already comes in once a week to assist with ironing and cleaning. You will sleep in the same room as the 3-year-old boy and assist with his routine. We are looking for someone preferably 30 years or older, who truly loves children and is patient, mature, nurturing, responsible, stable, respectful, neat, hardworking, proactive, able to clean thoroughly without constant supervision, has a strong Christian background, previous childcare/housekeeping experience, Valid Passport, and can provide references. Position is live-in in a full 3-bedroom home with meals and accommodation fully provided, you will eat what the family eats, salary R5,000 per month, two weekends off per month leaving Friday after work around 4-5pm and returning Saturday by 6pm, and 3 weeks paid leave in December.
