MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Experience working with PLC, DCS, SCADA, and industrial control systems.
Minimum 3 years' experience as a C&I Technician within a power station, heavy industrial plant, refinery, petrochemical facility, or similar environment.
National Diploma or N6 in Instrumentation, Process Control, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
Trade Test as an Instrument Mechanician (advantageous).

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Attend to plant breakdowns and emergency maintenance activities to minimize downtime.
Conduct loop checks, functional testing, commissioning, and plant start-up support activities.
Install, maintain, calibrate, and repair instrumentation and control equipment used in power generation processes.
Interpret electrical, instrumentation, and control drawings, P&IDs, and technical manuals.
Maintain turbine, boiler, auxiliary plant, and balance-of-plant control systems.
Monitor control system performance and recommend improvements to optimize plant reliability and efficiency.
Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and condition monitoring on plant instrumentation systems.
Test, calibrate, and certify flow, pressure, temperature, level, and analytical instruments.
Troubleshoot and diagnose faults on control systems, PLCs, DCS systems, transmitters, analysers, sensors, and actuators.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Ability to interpret technical drawings and electrical schematics.
Experience with high-voltage and low-voltage electrical systems.
Knowledge of electrical protection and control systems.
Minimum 3 years' experience working as an Electrical Technician within a power station, power generation facility, heavy industrial plant, mining, refinery, or manufacturing environment.
National Diploma or N6 in Electrical Engineering.
Trade Test Electrician (Red Seal) preferred.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist with plant start-ups, shutdowns, outages, and commissioning activities.
Carry out testing on cables, transformers, motors, relays, circuit breakers, and protection systems.
Conduct routine inspections and condition monitoring of electrical equipment.
Install, inspect, test, and commission electrical equipment in accordance with engineering standards and plant procedures.
Maintain and service motors, generators, transformers, switchgear, MCCs (Motor Control Centres), and electrical protection systems.
Maintain lighting, power distribution, and auxiliary electrical systems throughout the station.
Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements to enhance plant reliability and efficiency.
Perform electrical isolation, lockout/tagout (LOTO), and permit-to-work activities in compliance with safety regulations.
Perform preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance on electrical equipment and systems.
Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, single-line diagrams, and technical manuals.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults on plant equipment to minimize downtime.
