Yesterday, Amanda represented TSSI Recruit SA at the 7th Connected Africa Summit, joining professionals from MTN, Vodacom, SEACOM, Biztech and other organisations for a day focused on connectivity and cybersecurity.

It was a valuable opportunity to exchange ideas, build relationships and better understand the challenges facing an increasingly connected continent.

Nearly 20 years ago, Maxine joined TSSI Recruit as a Junior Administrator. Today, she leads TSSI Recruit South Africa as a board-level Managing Director, bringing years of experience and a deeply personal understanding of the business to her role.

She has grown with TSSI Recruit while raising three children, building a career shaped by hard work, increasing responsibility and the support of her colleagues, Directors and CEO.
Having started in administration, Maxine understands the work that goes into supporting our people, clients and candidates every day. That experience informs her leadership, connecting decisions at board level with the people who put them into practice.

Her compassion and commitment are central to the value she brings. Whether she is supporting her team, working with clients or helping create access to employment through local communities, people are always at the heart of her approach.

Kim Kimathi Mashiqana represented TSSI Recruit SA at the SEIFSA Annual Presidential Business Breakfast on 8 October, joining leaders from government, business and the metals and engineering sector to discuss the future of South African industry.

A key takeaway was the need to turn industrialisation commitments into tangible action that strengthens local manufacturing, encourages investment and creates sustainable jobs.

The discussions highlighted the connections between infrastructure, local procurement, transformation and skills development. Addressing challenges in electricity, logistics and water is essential, alongside developing the artisans and technical professionals businesses need to deliver projects and grow.
