Warehouse Assistant , you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our Gauteng warehouse. You will be responsible for the accurate receipt, storage, and dispatch of our products, primarily focusing on mobile phones . This role requires a high level of attention to detail, physical stamina, a commitment to maintaining a safe and organized work environment, and strong time management skills.

At times, you may be required to work from the office location for temporary warehouse set up during Festive and sale peak weeks . During peak sales periods, flexibility to work extra hours with paid overtime is essential

WAREHOUSE ASSISTANTS REQUIRED
The Warehouse Assistant is part of the JHB Warehouse team. The primary responsibility of the Warehouse is to manage all movements of stock in and out in the Warehouse including picking orders for customers for dispatch, arranging deliveries/collections, picking/receiving stock transfers, receiving goods from suppliers, performing daily stock counts, investigating variances & non-conformances and ensuring the system records accurately match the physical stock.
The Warehouse Assistant/Driver role has (but is not limited to) the following responsibilities:
• Picking / Checking customer orders in accordance with company procedures;
• Preparing customer orders for dispatch;
• To safely drive the delivery van or company car to transport company products, supplies and personnel safely to various destinations throughout the city and surrounding areas.
• Completion of daily vehicle & equipment checklists and ensuring preventative maintenance activities are performed (including ensuring that the vehicles are clean at all times);
• Loading/unloading products/supplies from vehicles;
• Checking of goods delivered by Suppliers/Transfers from Cpt Warehouse;
• Putting stock away and performing bin transfers following company procedures;
• Ensure that Quality Management standards are adhered to at all times;
• Monitor the temperature/humidity of the warehouse daily;
• Perform daily stock counts;
• Manage the goods returned cage;
• Identifying and implementing improvements to the warehouse processes;
• This position does not supervise or direct any staff.
• Maintains the company’s Safety, Housekeeping and Quality Standards. Incumbents will be subject to mandatory testing for Alcohol and/or drugs on a random, reasonable suspicion, post-accident, return to duty, and follow up basis.
• Demonstrate and promote a proactive commitment to health & safety, well-being and the environment whilst complying with all laws and company policies.
