The police in Malamulele are appealing to the members of the community to assist with information that can help in the apprehension of suspects who allegedly killed a 24-year-old male victim at Hasani Dakari village. The victim was allegedly found floating inside a stream on Saturday 03 January 2026.
On Thursday 01 January 2026, the deceased was allegedly last seen being assaulted by a group of people at a local liquor store at Hasani Dakari village. It is further alleged that the victim was picked up by a bakkie but never returned home.
The deceased was positively identified by a next of kin as Xiyani Watters Maluleke, a resident at Hasani Mbhalati village.
