EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY.
ADMIN – IMMEDIATELY (IDEALLY AGED 50+ YEARS OLD)

GIDO GROUP (PTY) LTD, RISANA, JOHANNESBURG.
We require the services of a skilled and competent admin person.
For now, a stopgap position for 3 – 4 months. Subject to ability, the possibility of a permanent post.
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Handling insurance claims (70%) and public enquiries relating to security services offered by Gido.
Liaising and booking assessments/installations/repairs; dealing with technicians, stock, etc.
PRODUCTS RANGE:
Gate & garage door motors, electric fencing, CCTV and alarm systems.
REQUIREMENTS:
Preferably a mature, experienced applicant (Ideally aged 50+).
Priority given to applicants living within 5km of our office.
Fluent in English (Read, write, speak). Afrikaans is a strong advantage (±40% of our clients).
Strong administrative ability and full computer literacy in:
• MS Word (Including editing and processing photos in documents),
• MS Excel,
• MS Outlook,
• PDFs and tools, e.g. Join, Compress, DocuSign.
Typing speed minimum 50 WPM (non-negotiable).
Excellent attention to detail.
Client liaison experience is essential (±70% of daily tasks).
Security industry / technical background is a strong plus.
Able to work independently and perform under pressure.
Contactable references required.
NON-NEGOTIABLE:
Strong spelling and written communication skills.
Competency in Word, Excel, Outlook and PDF handling.
Typing speed of at least 50 WPM.
Reliable, punctual, and able to meet deadlines.
HOURS:
Monday–Friday: 08:00–17:00
Two Saturdays per month: 08:00–12:00
RENUMERATION:
Starting at minimum wage.
After 3 months, a 30% increase, subject to performance and competency.
Weekly payments.
Further increases to be discussed based on suitability.
AVAILABILITY:
Immediate start required.
EXCLUSIONS: NO SMOKERS (INCL V**E).
IMPORTANT CONSIDERATIONS:
Gido’s office and property are STRICTLY a NON-SMOKING / VA**NG environment.
Management communicates primarily in Afrikaans.
We have dogs on the premises that roam freely, including in the offices.
All shortlisted applicants will complete tests in Word, Excel and Outlook.
Gido conducts complete background checks, including pre-employment polygraph testing.
Monthly random polygraph testing is standard company policy.
