people ( especially artists ) have different ideas or definitions of what success in the music industry is…fair enough.

so…to those who believe success is ownership and control over your ideas, music/art and your brand…

I need you to know that with enough due diligence, consistency and patience you can be successful. It won’t be easy.

the majors don’t care at this point if you bypass the system…they are the majority anyway.

it becomes a problem when you can do that and still compete in the same field as their signed artists with the system’s perks behind them. that’s when you become a threat."
