Job Type: 6 months contract, renewable

Our client in the food/grocery retail space, seeks to appoint Dark Store Supervisors to oversee the day-to-day operations of their various dark stores, ensuring efficient and accurate order fulfillment, inventory management, and team supervision. As a Supervisor, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of customer service and ensuring that the store meets performance and operational targets.

Key Responsibilities:
● Supervision and Leadership
● Operations Management
● Customer Service
● Quality Control
● Health and Safety

Requirements:
○ Matric ;
- A Diploma or degree in business management or a related field is preferred
-Minimum of 2-3 years of supervisory experience in retail, warehousing, or a similar environment.
○ Experience with inventory management systems and order fulfillment processes.
○ Strong leadership and team management skills.
○ Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
○ Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
○ Proficiency in using inventory management software and other relevant
technologies.

A 2017 study from CareerBuilder revealed that 36% of organisations do not have structured onboarding programs in place. This is unfortunate considering the many positive benefits of proper on-boarding - such as increased productivity, higher levels of employee engagement and retention.

**How to make the On-boarding process smooth for new employees**

1. Create a detailed on-boarding plan or checklist
2. Ensure the employee’s equipment, desk, systems and building access is ready before their first day
3. Have a team welcome session or send out a welcome email if working remotely
4. Schedule time with the new employees to agree on their deliverables for the first 3 months
5. Hold regular check-ins and offer support and guidance, as required
6. Identify training needs and provide necessary resources
