Dispatch Clerk Skills
• Data entry – since they manage driver operations, dispatch clerks enter and maintain up-to-date data related to daily workload, such as mechanical failures, transport delivery service confirmations, customer requests, and invoiced expenses
• Communication skills – strong written and oral communication in Afrikaans and English is vital for this dispatch clerks because they must build strong relationships with drivers and customers to decrease the stress of last-minute schedule changes that are part of the job
• Troubleshooting – successful dispatch clerks are team players who regularly troubleshoot to solve a wide variety of problems, such as fixing invoicing issues, answering questions, and quickly responding to customer and personnel complaints
• Customer service – dispatch clerks interact daily with drivers, service professionals, and customers while handling requests, complaints, and frustrations from each with excellence and professionalism
• Time management – the duties dispatch clerks perform are often managed simultaneously throughout a shift, which means they must prioritize tasks effectively and swiftly plan for changing workload needs
Experience:
2-5 Years’ experience in either receiving or Dispatch clerk
Have to be proficient in tools of the trade:
• Microsoft Office (Excel spreadsheets and word processing)

• Transport logistics, warehouse and customer service software

· BCom or National Diploma

· 4 plus years working experience in Internal or External Audit

· Preferably Public sector experience

· Optional: Currently working towards CA(SA) designation or already obtained CA(SA)

· During audits perform reviews so as to ensure that work being completed is done in accordance with the audit scope

· Report to management on a weekly basis with regards to the progress of the audit

· Communicate the budget on a weekly basis in terms of being over or under budget

· Act as the link between juniors, intermediaries, seniors and executive management

· Obtaining management comment on informal queries

· Ensure that all risks have been highlighted, that risks identified are correct and that adequate controls are in place to mitigate these risks

· Ensure that sufficient evidence is available to substantiate findings – quality control

· Prepare comprehensive written reports communicating the results of the audit in accordance with IIA standards

· Assist in the presentation of the draft report to management

· Conduct risk assessment interviews and compile risk assessment reports

· Identifies areas subject to audit coverage, evaluates their significance, and assesses the degree of risk inherent in the activity in terms of costs, schedule and quality

· Continuously monitors internal audit operations

· Responsible for managing staff on assignments

Will be responsible for providing support to the CEO.
