Scope

Liases with:

* Reception
* Maintenance

Main Duties:

* Maintains all agreed standards
* Maintains these set standards whilst remaining within agreed budgets on guest and cleaning supplies, salaries and any miscellaneous costs which apply to the department
* Liaises with all relevant department heads and managers to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the housekeeping department
* Monitors closely the condition and maintenance of all accommodation and public areas
* Introduces in co-operation with the training officer and on the job training scheme which should be an ongoing scheme
* Ensures the smooth running and staff welfare within the department
* Responsible for ordering/purchasing of all related cleaning chemicals and materials

Main Purpose:

My Client who currently owns and manages a Houseboat / Boat Charter Operation linked to a Large Safari Lodge operation in Kwa-Zulu Natal is recruiting for an experienced management couple to excel this top end unique Operation in the province.

Important :

* Applicants with children cannot be considered for this position
* Applicants need to be willing and preferably have past experience working in very remote locations ( River / Lakeside Lodges, Houseboats preferrable)
* Applicants with pets (dogs , cates etc ) cannot be considered for this position

Remuneration Package offered :

Requirements :

Scope of Duties in General will include

* Overseeing the full Management Function of the Houseboat Operation , all special meal arrangements (breakfast, lunch and dinner) served on the Houseboats
* Assist junior staff / managers with day to day tasks
* Welcoming and checking in of guests
* Completing all month-end duties as per company accounting practices
* Compiling, monitoring and controlling of budgets during the financial year
* Stock takes and control at month end
* Financial and operational business reports to Owners
* Oversee and attendance of management meetings
* Managing stock control
* Managing Bar service and control
* Management of guest delight activities
* Overall oversight of hospitality food, general appearance and management of maintenance issues
